Arjarn Precha Mahachanavong, founded the lotus self defense system, and it was sanctioned officially on the 2nd of October, nineteen sixty nine. The lotus self defense system is the style of martial arts that developed within Ubon, Thailand and it combines all of the elements of several different martial arts: Muay Thai Kick Boxing, Aikido, Kenpo Karate, and Judo. One of the basic ideas is to borrow all of the effective material from each individual style and then use what works.

The result is going to be a very unique style of martial arts, which empowers all of its practitioners to defend themselves in the event that they are attacked and it doesnt matter what the situation may be. Typically, a lotus class is going to begin with warm-up and stretching exercises, then you will practice punches, kicks, and blocks, and then you will move on to practicing falling on the mat, and hitting a target.

Lastly, you will cover rolls. All of the rolls with conclude with a very brief form that incorporates kicking, rolls, and punching. After you have received a break for a couple of minutes, you will return in order to practice lotus self defense moves and techniques, kata, and any other forms of new material. Overall, you will find that all of the lotus self defense techniques are found to be the most interesting and they can be applied to all of the real-life situations.
