Lotus Self Defense Techniques

In all actuality, there are several physical principles that are very common to all of the marital arts. Even though they arent considered to be any intellectual property of any particular system or style, they are shared by all of them. All of these principles are considered to be very large blocks that create the foundation of this art. Each of these building blocks is truly what makes all of the lotus self defense techniques work.

By possessing an understanding of all of these principles, which are used within Lotus makes it a lot easier to more completely understand each of the new lotus self defense techniques that you learn. You can use this basic understanding in order to speed up your progress, because by having a very firm grasp of each individual principle, you are going to apply them to all of these new situations.

So, what are you dealing with when you practice all of the lotus self-defense techniques? You will be dealing with the study of all of the bio-mechanics, such as how the body moves, what the limits are to each range of motion, where gravitys center is, and how far within each direction the body is able to move without even losing balance. Once you have answered all of these questions, you will be aware of all of the bio-mechanical points that relate to the human structure.

Now that you are aware of how all of the principles are able to be used, here are a couple of principles that are worthy of your attention:

Range of motion

Balance

Center of Gravity

Leverage- relates to the use of lever, fulcrum, and base.

Rotary Motion

Minimizing empty space or slack.

Counter-rotary motion.

Circular motion and the use

However, you should keep in mind that there are several other concepts that are worth looking at and hopefully, all of the studying of those that are listed above will help you to discover all of the others.

Each and every one of these principles is very worthy of an in-depth study and are able to be observed within small chunks as you perform each and every one of the lotus self defense techniques. In order to possess a complete understanding of the lotus self defense techniques, you should know that is stems from both individual types of study and the more attention that you are able to focus on each individual one, the faster that you are going to be able to internalize it. After all, this is where Lotus lives.

Lotus self defense isnt within our heads, it is within our bodies. You can think about all of the movies that you want, however when you have to do a technique in a real situation, it is going to come from the body.
